My wife was lucky enough to draw a period 1 Likely Tables Antelope Tag. Due to our schedule we are only going to be able to hunt a 3 day weekend. I was wondering if anybody knows of any landowners that will do trespass fees to hunt in there land. Any info will greatly help. Thank you

Sorry that I don't have any phone numbers for you... but you could talk to the owners of Alturas Ranches... they own the alfalfa fields between Alturas and Likely... they charge a decent fee... I don't recall off the top of my head... I drew the tag two years ago and looked into a few of the trespass fees... I saw a bunch of antelope on their property (Alturas Ranches) but nothing big... There is a ranch further north, on the east side of highway 395 that had some animals... they charged a more reasonable fee, but they didn't have anything big... I believe the name was Reid Gardner...

email me kmorefield@dfg.ca.gov
and I could give you some pointers as to where I would go... you could get an antelope fairly easily without having to pay a fee... I have some spots I could tell you....

It's Reed with 2 e's, AKA Modocer. I haven't seen any thing over 12 or 13 inches here on the ranch. I think that your best bet would be to try the Big Sage Res./Boles meadows area on the Devils Garden. There are a lot of goats, the trick will be to find a good one. Good luck.

I also drew a Likely Tables tag, but for Period. Where is Linville Creek? I have scouted there and looked all over the map, but can't seem to find Linville Creek.

Linville creek is a small creek about 3 miles south of Davis Creek. It is all on private land. There are a few goats down in the field where Joe is talking about, but none are worth shooting. Give them a couple of years they might be pretty good, but not this year.

Thanks for the info Modocer. I was up their scouting a couple of weeks ago and saw a lot of antelope on the southern part of the Tables. I plan on coming back this weekend and loooking at the northern part of the unit. I really enjoy the area and looking at those speed goats.
