Marine riches at Farallon Islands

Sightings of whales and marine birds last week – and the size, health, and numbers of salmon being caught — has reached prodigious levels off the Bay Area and Monterey coasts. Those aboard the Salty Lady, on a wildlife trip sponsored by the Oceanic Society, watched eight humpback whales and three giant blue whales feed and cavort for 40 minutes###in the calm blue water.
