I took this buck this morning on opening day in Craig, Colorado. Shot him at 126 yards with my 270WSM firing a 130gr Barnes TSX. Contrary to what many people say about the barnes bullets, I have had great success with this round on deer, pigs, and now I can add antelope. All of these animals have dropped without stepping an inch. He's my first, so he's going on the wall.

Pretty nice goat! Did you do DIY or guided? Public or private land?

It was a guided hunt on private land. I drew a private land only tag for GMU 13. Most of the land around Craig is private ranches so using a guide who could get access seemed to be the best way to go. I didn't get drawn last year so I had a preference point going into this years draw. There were a lot of hunters in the public areas and after opening day, a good number of the antelope were pushed onto private lands.
