Shot this guy on Thursday last week. We blew it on a couple guys that pushed 16 inches on Wednesday. Also had an unsuccessful stalk on Thursday morning on a beautiful buck with forward sweeping horns. Had other things I wanted to do on my trip so I settled for this one late Thursday afternoon. He's right at 14 inches. No real curl, but very tall horns. Also had the nice, jet black face. The horns were already wobbly, but didn't fall off or anything. Just like turkey hunting it's a lot easier getting a single than a big animal in a herd. I didn't know how to score him so I didn't even bother trying. He was over 330 yards away. The .257 Weatherby did the job. Hopefully the beetles at the taxidermy place I left it at are already doing their job.

On Friday morning my buddy got his goat, Saturday we boated a ton of northern pike and on Sunday he shot an old, old mulie buck and the other group with us got a huge bull elk and a smaller 6x6. It was a helluva trip!

Oh, and we forgot to set the date before taking the pictures!

Nice goat. Like the heart-shape to them.
