Congrats on the pigs. Having taken many pigs on public land with a bow, I can say, it takes perseverance and a large measure of luck. It is not for those who don't want to walk a lot or work very hard. Every pig I ever took remains as a trophy in my mind...
And for those dissing paid guides, take a deep breath and chill out. They work very long and hard for not much money, they pay to lease the private properties they usually hunt, they pay to get lic and insured, they pay for fuel to drive clients all over hell and back, they hump their butts to get many times less than able hunters into game just to have the hunters blow the shot and then blame the guide, and then are expected to act as servants for people who often do not appreciate what they do for them.
that being said, it still is hands down the best way for a novice or newbie to get close to game and have a better than 50% chance at taking it home. Sure it costs money, but guides are not getting wealthy, just ask one sometime...

First. Big congra to Modlinb for putting in the hard work and harvesting wild pigs on public land.

Second. Easymoney said it pretty well with the post above. I think before we point fingers or label others, let's try walking a mile in the other person's shoes first. Once you've walked the mile, then your thinking will be taken with more salt.
