My uncle lives in AZ and has for a few years, he would like me to come and visit sometime, so i figured if I was going to take a trip I might as well hunt while I'm there. It probabaly won't be this year as I won't apply for a tag this year, but i plan on visiting him when I draw a tag.
I have been trying to get info on AZ hunting, but the AZ Game and Fish has their stuff on pdf and my computer doesn't like that.
Anyway I have questions.
I want to hunt antelope, mule deer, and elk. Elk is not as important, but I will take it if I can.
This is sort of a one time deal, because I hate traveling and AZ and PA are a long ways apart.
Anyway I plan on hunting around Cottonwood and am primarily looking at 6A and 6B. I can hunt with a bow, muzzleloader and rifle, so that is not a limiting factor.
From what I can tell all tags are on a draw basis correct?
What are my chances in these area's? Of getting drawn and shooting something?
What about hunting on indian Reservations? i know some states leave that up to the tribes?
Any information that I get will be helpful, because AZ is one of the states that I know least about.
Even general hunting tips will be good.
I know elk are big and will probabaly need quartered, and I do not frown at hiking a long ways if need be.

Antelope:

Rifle:

6A - 3 tags - 1% draw odds - 67% hunt success

Archery:

6B - 25 tags - 24% draw odds - 20% hunt success

I don't do elk or deer.
