So with calm seas predicted and some fuel ice and bait, we decided to go on a run to some reefs 35 miles from the harbor. We arrive at the boat to see the prediction was correct so far. We untie the ropes and head off. We get to the first spot and drop the lines. Two or three strikes on the jig and we realized when are on a great spot. Loaded 30 rockfish with a 4-5 lb average as well as two ling cod. So with limits we start the 35 mile trek back. We arrive in the shelter of monterey bay and see flat glass conditions so we decide to spend an hour looking for halibut. One hour later we boxed two nice halibut and lost three. What a day flat calm seas and fish were on the chew. Tight lines pic is just the ones I brought home.
