Looks as though some great goats have been taken this past month. Great job gang!

Now I need a little insight from the goat getters....

Can anyone give me a heads up on where the goat rut is now and what it looks like for the first week of October in WY?

I'm headed out for an archery hunt in Wyoming (UNIT 26) and had hoped to get an idea on what the speedies are doing that time of year. I was thinking spot and stalk with a decoy or water but looking for advice.

If its going to be difficult to take one with a bow, I may resort to the .270.

Big thanks!

I'd have to say that the antelope rut in WY peaks about now. There will still be some rut activity in early Oct., but it will be winding down. The decoy thing is good option. They've had a lot of thunderstorms lately, so unless it heats back up, waterhole hunting might be on the slower side. Be flexible and good luck sticking a nice one!
