Dog classes: Tracy Jenson of High On Kennel in Santa Ysabel is offering snake-avoidance classes for gun dogs or pet dogs, starting in mid-March. She said the half-hour class is for any dog that lives near a canyon or takes walks in canyons or wooded areas. The class also is for gun dogs that are sure to encounter snakes in desert or brushy areas. In addition to snake avoidance, Jenson has two openings for high-quality, low-volume, in-kennel training for gun dogs. Call her at (760) 782-0728.
