Back page will list the day's events.

These are just samples. As soon as we can get confirmation on all the sponsors and vendors I can finalize a printable copy. I think thats the way Jesse wants it. So that we can print it out ourselves so we can get it out in the short period of time.

The date is Sunday September 25th.We have the pond and field area exclusively for Socal Waterfowl Days.I will be calling Federal Cartridge and Hevi Shot about the patterning area and maybe some shotsshells. Maybe they have a local rep.I will also work on getting some free hot dogs. Farmer Johns, Vons, Smart and Final?Is this a non profit event ? Is CWA the Non Profit Organizatioor or is JHO.

We're not non profit. I don't know how you can call it non profit if you charge admission and there are vendors selling stuff.

You can charge admission and be non-profit, but you have to have non-profit satus with the IRS. You have to set up a 501c3 tax exemption which CWA has. But this doesn't look non-profit to me, I would stay away from it to be safe.

I'm confused .....YOU are not charging admission , That is a fee that is paid at the gate directly to Prado Dog Park !!! Right ? as far as vendors go ?? they are out there independently...but certainly a topic that should be looked into to keep JHO out of that loop. That perhaps is a good reason to keep this first event as just a get together {committee} until the major stuff can be worked out !!

Guys, Jesse already said JHO is a profitable organozation.This will hender our abilitity to get freebe's. I just talked to Cabelas and they have strict requirements for giving out freebe's. You must be non profit, have at least 6 weeks before your event, have letterhead, an address and an Email address just to name a few. I have calls into Hevi Shot and Federal Cartridge. Both won't be available until Tuesday 8-30-05. Also E-mailed the president of Turners Outdoorsman and waiting for a response. Outdoorplay let me know who else I can help contact. Thanks Calfowler

what's the parking like at the dog training facility?

El Cazador; The parking is a tree lined dirt road and part of the field. There should be plenty of room. No asphalt.

Westy and I stopped by there today and met Janet and her son. It's an awesome place. Lots of room and big ole ponds. Hopefully the heat will drop down by then.

With the PRado Olympic shooting range right across the street we could maybe do something there in conjunction with the dog training area.

If we're going to have a dog launching contest we need someone to work with Janet on building a launch ramp or using something they have already???

How do they score the distance on ESPN Outdoor days? Is there some kind of yardage maker thingy?

Its almost like a long blue tarp that is put out over the water like shown below.

Could prolly take the pong right at the bottom of the hill and rune rop across it then drape the tarp over with numbers sewed on it or painted or something and we could let the dogs jump off the bank.

Bulldog, just a thought, you can pull our logo off the header graphic if you want. A logo in the sponsor part is good enough.

Also loose the turkey tune up part please.

Can you make a crude map image showing the location? We need to get this flyer done and out so people can start handing them out.

I told Janet this would grow to be huger than Rosie O'Porkchop's pantsuits

and she said no problem, even in the coming years.

Turner's is on board as a sponsor. They will throw in some items for the raffle and sponsor the youth calling contests.

Jim MAtthews wanted to know if we wanted to do a quail calling contest along with the duck and goose calling contest. He will throw in one of his custom quail calls for the winner.

Jim is going to email me Turners' logo and Bulldog can add it to the flyer. I'll then send Jim the flyer file and Turner's will put the flyers out in all their stores.

Start bugging everyone you know for donations/sponsorships.

Janet also mentioned no hunting on the place and she will check on patterning shotguns. She did mention people can release some pidgeons or quail for some shooting if they want also.

As far as a skeet competition or shooting deal, what can we do over at Prado? Skeet shoot off? SPorting clays? What would everyone want to do if they showed up?

I'll come up with one for right now! A single page that way we can already promote and I'll rework the 2 page one when we get all the sponsors on board.

I need to know who the sponsors are! Do we have any sponsors from this site?

I've talked to Jacob from Griffins Nest and he is all gung-ho to have a booth and also will supply Chukars for free for the junior hunters. He has plans on converting some of his properties to waterfowl. Let me know if I can give him the green light? And I can put that on the flyer.

Bulldog, What price can Jacob get chukar for. I was going to get some prices. Everybody will probably have to pre pay for them. It is so much fun once you start, nobody cares how much they spend once they pop a couple for their dog. I think we will need 100 to 200 hundred. We will need to order the chukar before the event. They need to make arrangements for the birds.

I set up a booth for Raahauges , Safari Club, CWA, DU............... I can bring my booth with about a dozen different mounts , some JHO'rs saw it at the last show.

Jesse, just let me know what you need from me......... count me in.
