Great news another sponsor on board.

Prado Olympic Shooting Park is on. They are sponsoring a hall on the property for us to use. Also I am getting together a Trap/Skeet competition (I will post up as soon as I get all the info.).

Another great news is I got a discount for us JHO members for the Trap/Skeet tokens. Regular price is $6.00 per token. To JHO members: $5.50 ea. or $25.00 for 5 tokens. I will post a printable coupon good for this month.

Janet at Prado said alcohol is allowed so if anyone knows any Budwieser/Coors/Miller reps talk to them about a mobile trailer setup. The Bud rep had one at the CWA luncheon at IV this past Saturday.

We also need some power for the food venders. Anyone who knows someone who can bring a power generation truck we sure could use it.

Also need some horsepower on the food vendor thing. No food venders lined up yet.

I've got a commitment from Wayne at A&W Embroidery to do the show next year. He can bring a machine to sew names on hats etc.

Skunk, you and Calfowler are on the list to help with the CWA youth boothes. We need 4 more guys for the CWA youth activities so we can let one guy do one booth at a time and the other can be on break for an hour or two and then switch. 3 booths x 2 people means we need 6 people total for the CWA youth thing. Need more volunteers everyone.

Still need a P.A. system 7 M.C. too.

The planted birds from Griffen's Nest fell through so we need a bird breeder who can donate a couple hundred birds ot give us a cut rate for some shooting over the dogs.

We also need some EZ Ups for shade. If you have one or two you would like to bring to set up please speak up.

We also need chairs and a stage for the calling contest. We can have the contest in the PRado Range building or outside on a stage. What do you all think?

Still need someone to build the dog launch ramp. ALso need the yardage banner. Anyone?

Need food contest judges and calling contest judges. ANyone?

I stuck flyers all over the Imperial Valley this weekend, even at the Wister crappers. I hope everyone else is doing the same. If you need flyers just holler. THere is a link back up on this page to download the flyers if you want to print your own.

Everybody wanted this event and we have maybe 6 or 7 people volunteering? 2 people to do the youth events?

What are the demensions on the dog launch ramp? I can get a great deal on PVC pipe to use as the base. Fill it with some of that foam looking stuff they used on the Monater Garage vw bug boat. Then screw some plywood on top? I'll spring for the pipe.

Just a thought, but would a flat bed from an 18 wheeler work for a launch ramp? If it was backed down to the shoreline in a flat area? Maybe the water would be too shallow there......Just thinkin

I'm not sure about the ramp dimensions since I don't have a dog now. Gotta be big enough for the dog to get up to speed. 20ft maybe? caduckgunner we would need to anchor it in the water too. Not sure how to do that? Cement blocks tied to the PVC pipe?

WOuld plywood be okay for the dogs? ANybody want to donate the plywood?

On the flyers, most Wal-Mart hunting/fishing department sections people have been letting me put flyers there. Lots of traffic there. Try and see if your local Wal-Mart will let you put flyers there. Popular restaurants work good too. Where are you finding places to put flyers?

I put the arm on MOJO DEcoys (Huntwise), E.A.R., ProEars and Turtleskins for sponsorship.

If you know anyone or are a member of the local chamber of commerces try and get in to let all the business owners know they can have a booth for $12 or can sponsor us. San Bernardino Area Chamber wants $200 to join and be able to solicit their members.

Ed Zerielski was supposed to interview me Sunday for this event on the radio program they have but no call. Will try again this weekend.

Decoy Deception and Waterfowl Wizards are the 2 that would be best for this event. The decoy deception activity the kids paint or color masonite decoys and they really love it. The waterfowl wizards is also fun and helps teach them waterfowl id. using characteristic features.

I'll include 1-2 others (with instructions) when I send stuff down next week.

E-Z Up is in Riverside, maybe they can demo canopies which can double as vendor booths.

Espn dog ramps are 40' plus. The dogs start at 40'. The ponds are pretty shallow, I don't think it would be hard to stick something in the mud to anchor. Maybe we need a shorter ramp and can use the natural terrain. There is one or two peninsula's that would help for judging. Calfowler

Why doesn't someone get ahold of Purina Farms that used to do the Incredible Dog Challenge that used to be on ESPN2 and see if they would come out for this. You have to have something set up for this, you cant use a flat bed of a truck, you have to have a ramp that goes out to a pond, the pond must be deep enough or you going to have a hurt dog. I did the Incredible Dog Challenge two years in a row back when my pup was younger and there was a practice ramp my uncle built out at Rahaagues. The dogs get measured by where there front feet land. Has anyone talked to Don Richardson about this dog jumping contests, I would run it over him first, maybe he might have some ideas for this.

Today I talked to Turner's and they are not 100% sure about setting up a vending both but they are about 90% in.
Way I had the purchasing guy on the line I take to him about how they could better serve the waterfowl hunter . I do think the take went very well and we well see a change for the better form Turner's.....

Also Fox ammo should be on board, I will get a conformation tomorrow.

We need a Volunteer to run the shooting compaction??If we don't already.
I am getting calls about it and I need to know what to tell them what Kind of venue it will be.

So can some one step up to the bat?

These are just samples. As soon as we can get confirmation on all the sponsors and vendors I can finalize a printable copy. I think thats the way Jesse wants it. So that we can print it out ourselves so we can get it out in the short period of time.

I was just wondering if you guys were interested in 4 wheel (offroad) vendors. I had Offroad Unlimited lift my truck they might be interested, maybe 4wheel parts. Let me Know if you guys want me to contact them.
