Usually we meet up at 10am for the orintation which can take an hour or so. They check your ammo to make sure you don't have any lead rounds. I have always been able to get out and start hunting by noon or 1pm. People meet up around 8-9am at the flying J for breakfast then everybody heads over to the Check in Station around 10. Could be different this year but that has been the standard the last few years I have gone.

Does anybody have a source for decent maps of Tejon? Most of the stuff I've found online has either been really vague or in a format that is not readily printable. I'm most interested in the roads through the ranch.

Just a quick note on my way out the door to work...

I believe we ended up at 20 hunters. I had three hunters pull out due to the extra cost, and their paperwork is on the way back to them. Anyone else who wants to bail will have to contact the Ranch for instructions. The hunt paperwork is on the way to the ranch and out of my hands.

Remember to plan on paying an extra $100 for each adult hunter. Cash or checks are fine. NO CREDIT CARDS.

Orientation is at the ranch office (I-5, Ft Tejon Exit) 10:00 on Friday. If there is any reason at all that you can't make that time, you'll need to coordinate with Maddi at the ranch to get your orientation paperwork all taken care of. I don't know her schedule. YOU MAY NOT ENTER THE RANCH PROPERTY WITHOUT YOUR PAPERWORK.

The Holiday Inn Express is a nice place to stay for those coming up on Thursday night. Those who'd like to do the traditional Flying J breakfast will meet at the buffett at around 08:00 Friday morning.

I think that's all for now.

Wow we were at 23 headcount before the three guys pulled out. That leaves two more guys to make the 25. 2x$450=900. I was thinking if we had known the exact count earlier, we could have 23 guys pony up $40 each to make up for that 2 guys instead of the $100 each. If we have to have two physical hunters, we could have a lottery draw for two juniors who want to come. I'm sure someone will have two juniors that wanted to go. It's just my thought, but I guess it's probably too late now. Anyway enough of my blah blah.

You're basically right, L2H. If so many guys had not waited until the deadline to get their apps in, then we could have had enough notice to make some sort of arrangement to fill out. But when apps are still rolling in on the day of the deadline, it's a little tough to accomodate. :pull-shades:

Sorry in advance if this has been answered. I searched but could not find the answer.
Is there a Range or place to check scope/rifle at tejon in case your rifle is involved in a booboo.
