My host has updated the website and we have some changes in store for 2004. I am trying to keep the cost of hunting down to affordable levels. As such, I have instituted a way to do so by offering hunts that are customized to your needs and specifications. Please see the site for further details.

Also in 2004. I am concentrating on economical antelope hunts. I want to put you in for public rifle, muzzle and bow hunts where you can some some bucks. Odds look good for draw of outfitter hunts here in NM. If you have questions on how this works please e-mail me.

Thanks and best o huntin in 2004! www.newmexicobiggamehunting.com

I re-read the post. Second paragraph was supposed to say and mean "SAVE some bucks" on good quality bucks!!!!

Odds look good for public draw. In NM you are assigned to specific ranches on rifle hunts. Success is very high. The muzzle loader hunt in 52 is 5 days. Odds are better than 50/50 for this unit.

Thanks for the link Jim. I recognize the 5b country where the 2003 buck pic was taken in daylight--I think we were just on the other side of the big canyon on our elk hunt. That cactus buck sure was a magnum buck--glad those fella's did as well as they did there!

Thanks Bill-I was amazed at the country. I am hoping Game and Fish pushes that hunt to the Thanksgiving weekend. That area has to have some brusers but we need the hunt to be more toward the rut. We hunted some of the country near Deadman Lookout. If I were a big mulie, I'd like to live there. Some of the best habitat I seen. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. Jim

Hey Jim

What's the deal with the NM G&F site? Looks like they're going to have internet applications but I can't find the link. We want to put in for oryx this year and we're running out of time.

I'll check out your website. Soon as I can figure out my schedule I'll contact you about an antelope hunt. Still have to get one for Bonny.

Paul-

I understand that they will allow on line apps with a $6 fee using your credit card. If you draw they will debit your card for the balance. On the down side it will allow for a bunch more apps coming in, therefore reducing overall odds. I would suspect that outfitters will be required to do it the old fashioned way. I can't imagine a client releasing a credit card number and I won't release my outfitter number. It will be interesting to see how this works in year 1.

Talked to the Outfitter Registrar at length on several items yesterday. The only way to use the outfitter draw will be the way it has been done since inception. The client and the outfitter must have a contract with clearly defined services and the application must have the outfitter number on it to go into the outfitter special draw. Please take the time to download the stats and understand them. By studying them you will certainly see there is opportunity to hunt in some very good quality areas with limited numbers of hunters. I'm ready to help you get that coveted NE New Mexico Antelope Tag. Shoot me an e-mail. Jessee's readers get 10% off the total package. The deadline for the draw is April 24th.

It is possible to come to NM, hunt antelope on Sat and Sun, then drive to a quality deer area and hunt good quality mule deer in a weeks period on a rediculously low budget. If you have any interest, shoot me an e-mail. Jimbo.

I just realized I do not have anyone applying for the Stallion Range, NM Antelope Hunt this year. Last year, I had one out of 3 apps draw. The hunter took a great 80 inch buck on the second day. We did screw up the stalk on the big one and couldn't find him the next day. This one is very an economical chance to hunt a good quality antelope area and see a bajillion Oryx as well. Shoot me an e-mail......
