I've had photography for a hobby since I was about 10 (26 now).
Working on my first trailcam but the cameras I use for everything else are a
Canon AE1 and a Canon T70. I have several lenses from 28mm to 300mm telephoto to a 500mm miror lens.  

My wife and I just bought our first house as soon as I can I'll be setting up a darkroom to develope my own B&W.  Haven't got into digital yet.

Olympus C-3000Z....so far I really like it.  The pictures are extremely clear.  I'm still practicing with the manual mode but I'll get there.....

I own a Sony DSC-S75 Digital 3.3 Megapixels with a Carl Zeiss lens.  It takes excellent pics.  Very clear and detailed.  It has a lot of features and is capable of recording short MPEG video clips.  The clips are not detailed enough for my taste.  It's all in the technology.  I have a 128MB Memory Stick and haven't filled it up yet.  It's very easy to load pics to computer via USB.  I'm currently searching for a Digital camera to build a trail cam with as I won't risk losing my Sony out in the woods.  I feel Digital is definitely the way to go.  I see many 2.2 Megapixel cameras on ebay for around a hundred bucks or so.  Once I have an "economical" digital in service, I'll post some comments.  I love my Sony too much to risk losing it or breaking it!

I bought this one, and really like it. So far so good.

I have a Sony DSC-P50 Digital camera, 2.1 mega pixel with 6x zoom. I take my pictures at 640x480.

I have gotten some really good picture's with it.

Canon digital Elph S110 2.1 megapixel.

PROS:
EXTREMELY small...size of a cig pack. Fits in your pocket easily.
Almost all metal.
Great pics.
Best video function of all still cameras that ive seen...20 FPS..most are 15. Mkes a huge difference in smoothness/realism.

CONS:
Indoor pics aren't as good due to weak flash.
Battery life not great...about an hour with display on. (got second battery free with rebate tho)

Overall i love it. The size alone is enough to put it at the top of my list. But i really like the video function a lot, and that was the other big factor in choosing it. The size makes it especially great for a hunter. Carrying around a full size camera would be out of the question for me.

Looks like I'm the new guy here.  I've been a newspaper photographer in Chicago for about 18 years now.  Been doing personal wildlife and nature photography for at least as long.  Got some old Canon FD equip.  Some EOS 1N's and lenses, and now use Nikon D-1's on a daily basis.  Had used Mamiya for studio work and have packed a 4x5 through the mountains.

Just bought a Kodak DX4900 Digital. 4.0 megapixels. 3X optical, and 3X zoom. So far so good. Takes great pics, and seems easy to use, since I'm pretty much tech chalenged.

Hey I just can't pass up a chance to talk about jpegs.

I have an Olympus e10. My wife and I shoot weddings and we use both 35mm and digital for doing this. It is a little pricey but I make money with mine most of the time. As for quality and quanity I think some people get confused on this. My camera holds both smart media and compact flash cards, I can take well over 200 pics and never worry about what it will turn out like. Alot of people try to get maximum pic count on their card then downsize it and they lost the quality for quanity. I can put an external flash on mine for indoor or night time shooting.

I just bought the Canon Powershot S40, A guy I work with bought his a few months ago and after seeing what this camera can do, I had to get one too!!!
I'm new to digital cameras and to photography for that matter, but with a little help and "tinkering" around with it I'm sure I'll get the hang of it!

I have an Olympus C3000 (I see several others have this one also) that I've had for 2 years. I like it; I've been learning since the first time I turned it on. I take nature shots: flowers, landscapes and animals. Since it has only a 3X zoom, this summer I got the Eagle Eye 5X lens for it. More learning.

My old camera is a Nikon FE. I really liked it; it was the first camera I ever had, and I learned much with it, but being able to download right off a digital camera is great, so I rarely use the FE anymore.

A year ago I purchased the Sony DSC-S85 Cyper-shot, 4.1 Mega Pixels with a Carl Zeiss 6X zoom lense. It was recommended to me by a good friend and I have really liked it. It takes excellent pictures and it's small enough to pack with me on all my hunting and fishing trips.

I have the HP C618 Photosmart. Did a lot of research and picked this one because it has the weight, feel and look of a conventional "point and shoot" film camera. This was a joint project by Pentax and HP and the result is great. Simple to operate. The view finder works great if you don't want to use the view screen. Uses (4) AA batteries and the good rechargeables give it plenty of power. No need for an AC adapter for download to the PC. Fast USB download or wireless to the Photosmart line of HP printers. As it is 2.1 megapixels I thought at first this might be a problem. Not so, and prints up to 8x10 are great. The HP software it comes with is great, both for editing and sending email (a good way to make smaller files for posting). I've had it for 1 1/2 years and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Although I paid more (of course!) I have seen them lately on the Web for about $250. It also does sound files which I sometimes make. Check the link below for some sample pics.
