I purchased an Olympus C-730 UltraZoom digital camera on Jan. 3, 2003. It is my first digital, though I have enjoyed my old 35mm SLR for the last 30 years. My favorite subject is my 22 month old grandson, with deer and other wildlife a close second.
I have an epson and a HP photosmart. The photosmart takes good pictures so I use it to set up my cams in the woods. I just place it in front of my game cam and take a picture to see what the background and if it lines up with the trail. Works great, and you can see if anything is in the picture that might make a glare.
Just got an Oly C-730. Will check it out and report. Bought it online through Dbuys.com in NY. They got good ratings on the seller sites. Ordered late Fri. night. They called to confirm Sun. Shipped Fed Ex on Tue. and it got here Thu. My only experience with them but very satisfied. Cost was $468.90 with shipping. May buy accessories through them as they offer free shipping if for the original item purchased. WB
I bought the Olympus C-2100 Ultra Zoom right after Christmas. The model is discontinued but it has some features I wanted so I decided to buy it anyway. It took me several weeks to find one but I finally did. I ended up getting it for $389 at a Wal-mart 3 hrs from my house. It was new and unopened but had been under the counter for a year.
It has a 10x optical zoom, image stabilization, and the user has the option of complete manual control over the settings.(shutter, aperature, ISO, etc) The biggest seller to me was the 10x IS zoom. I'm still figuring it all out but I really enjoy it so far.
SoCal, I had a tip from the Wal-mart camera buyer that there were a few Wal-Mart stores that might have one in stock. I called close to 50 Wal-Mart stores all over Oklahoma, East Tx, and Louisiana looking for one. I was calling the stores a couple days after Christmas again, and it was about 5:15 p.m. in the afternoon. The girl at the photo counter said she had one in stock under the counter and she'd put my name on it. By 6 p.m. we were on the road to buy it. We got back home at midnight and the trip was well worth it!

Sort of inherited it from my buddy. He got it when his father passed away.
Seems they only used the 1 roll of film that came with it when they bought it new back in the 50s. Camera is mint!! have the box it came in, all manuals, and even some of the original flash bulbs. His mother said they got it for a trip, used the 1 roll of film, then just put it away. I have never tried it. I just put it away too.
I have (I mean my wife has) (since I bought it for her, I am entitled to life time usage right) a Canon PowerShot S30. This is a 3.2 megapixel with a 3x optical zoom. I did a lot of research in the digital camera forums and reviews which led me to this camera. Size was also a factor and this camera is pocket size. I am not an expert in photography but this camera shoots very high quality pictures. I download the pictures and print out 8x10's and my family didn't know the pics came from a digital camera.
I have an Olympus 370, sony TRV-340 with night shot. Have got 100+ pictures of deer at night having a lot of fun with it. turning the 370 into a deer cam got the parts order thur Haggs
I forgot to post it here in this thread but I bought an Olympus E-10 SLR 4mp camera back in May. It's a great camera and the extra mp's are nice. I really liked my C-2100 (which I still own) but the lack of mp's was killing me. I also wanted a full SLR for easier manual shooting. Hopefully I'll have some photos to post soon. I've got a few good ones so far but I've been to lazy to post them.lol Here is a photo of my E-10 I took in my homemade lightbox. I needed an extra light on but didn't realize it until it was too late. Live and learn.lol
For digital I use an Olympus D-380, it works great in my game camera and still able to remove and take other pictures. It takes wonderful pictures in my game setup using Brian's board.
Takes good indoor and outdoor photos. Sure are a lot of fantastic photos on this site. I'm still learning
