Just got a Coolpix 5700 5MP 8x zoom. I purchased an accessory pack for it that got me a 2x teleconverter and a wide angle. I hopefully will have some pics soon I am still trying to learn the ins and outs of it at the moment. I have had a 35mm slr for a while but never tried as many different things as I would like due to cost of film and developing.

I have a Sony F717 and my wife has a Nikon 5700. We really enjoy taking pictures in the outdoors. I've used digital cameras for several years at work and have an old Mavica for that, but its only 1.6 MP.

I got a Canon PowerShot A300 for Christmas. 3.2 megapixels and 5.1x digital zoom.

What kind of pic quality can I expect from this cam?
Might get a digi slr when I get my tax refund.

Got an Olympus Stylus 400 for Christmas.
4.4Mp - 3x opti - 4x digi

Weatherproof was the imprtant factor in my decision on this camera. Like to take pics while duck hunting and it's just too hard to try and keep everything dry out there.

I have my digital: Olympus D-580, simple point and shoot, but I use it all the time, and last night I just bought a new 35 mm for my college photography class, a Canon SLR Rebel 2000 (one very cool 35mm I must say, sheer amount of stuff I'll be able to do with it will be amazing

Wow, Olympuses (Olympi?) and Canons seem to be the most popular brands by a country mile.

I recently got a Pentax *istD (funny name) digital, which is styled as a SLR. The lenses for it and my SLR Pentax MZ50 are interchangeable. But the digital format is about 1 1/2 times as big as the SLR, so the 80-320 lens essentially becomes a 120-480. I also got a close-up lens with it and have been taking pictures of small mineral specimens about the size of a postage stamp.

Now here's the rub. I haven't got to the stage yet where I can produce a file any smaller than about 9 billion MB. OK, maybe that's a small exaggeration, but they are huge. Once I've got that under control, I'll begin posting a few pictures.

I just ordered an Olympus C-770 Digital Camera this past Monday...should be here by Friday according to FedEx.

I also ordered the 512MB xD Picture Card to go with it...so that I can do a load of pictures and MPEG video (if I ever choose to) and an extra Lithium Ion rechargable battery.

I am excited and can't wait to get it. It is my first digital camera and got it for hunting, fishing and the outdoors where the 10x optical zoom should help me out quite a bit.

I have the Canon Digital Rebel with 2 lenses, the 18-55 and the 75-300.I hope to get an super telephoto lense sometime soon. Before the rebel I was limited to using my Sony DCR-TRV320 for a camera,it is less than 2megapixel,not very glamorus for photography, but great for video.I really like wildlife photography, landscapes and nature as well. The only problem I have is that there isn't much to choose from here in southern Indiana.

Great looking site you have here. I have canon AE1 and several lenses. This spring I went digital and have been very pleased with my Kodak DX4690. It has 4.0 mp, 10X optical plus 3X digital with the easy share dock so batteries are no problem. Bought a 256 card for it and have never ran out of space. I was a little suspicious about buying a Kodak after useing Canon for so many years but would not hesitate to buy to same setup again.

I have an Olympus something but since getting a new Nikon Coolpix 2100 I have no need to pull out the old Olympus.... the 2100 may not be all that big but for $200 it takes fantastic pictures in the field and at home. And if by chance that I ever lost or broke it..... big deal ! I will just get another one. Its alot better than carrying around a $600+ camera and worrying if your going to lose or break it.

Hello lads and lasses, well I have a Canon AE-1 that came my way about 5 years ago, it had only been used 3 times, and sat in a closet for 17 years, it came with a 50mm, 35mm lenses, and a flash, since being given this camera I found Ebay a great place to get the lenses I needed and wanted, I also acquired a Canon AE-1P as a backup, I have managed to get some great lenses and a few flashes as well as a couple of motor drives and only one battery pack, am in the market for an MA battery pack if anyone comes across one, I love the manual cameras, the pictures are awesome and the range of what one can do is much greater than a lot of the modern day cameras, excluding the SLR's the digitals are convenient but are limited, anyways I do have some photos on my website and will endeavour to post some this way have a good one and be safe out there, Bob aka bobo

Hey all-

Its been a while since anyone has posted on this thread but I thought what the heck. I used my father-inlaw's AE-1 for a while, great camera. A few months ago I was given a Pentax SuperProgram with a few lenses. I don't think it is as easy to use as the AE-1 but it's probably just my inexperience with it. Snapped a few roles and got some good pics. Well, after dreaming about it for a long time, the wife and I finally laid down the cash for the Canon 350D. Just got it yesterday in fact. I had the opportunity to borrow one for a few days about 6 months ago and was sold. I almost bought the 10D but after further consideration, I figured we'd be better served to put the extra money into some glass. With that said, I've enjoyed looking at the pictures on this forum and hope to become a regular contributer.
