Those prices are trophy fees most likely, probably doesn't include daily rates or lodging or pretty much anything else. An average Lion after all is said and done is around $50k for a trophy.

Just posting facts. It is what is it, don't be jealous because you can't go to Africa. How many Lions have you shot? Have you ever researched Africa hunting before you saw this guy on the news?

I think with his highly national attention on this situation it might have started a can of worms for him because why would the department of Fish and Wildlife here in the U.S. want to question him now. So something else might be brewing for him when he gets back here, who knows the news stories turn everything into a big mystery for ratings these days, instead of giving u the facts upfront they want u to stay tuned all day for the next clue to the mystery.....tra

I don't think anything is brewing, the USFW knows there's nothing they can do but they are getting hounded by the press, PETA, liberals in Hollywood etc to "do something" so they are acting like they are doing something...my guess anyway. Who knows what the truth is, we never will know tho.

Another report said that the carcass was confiscated, if true Palmer won't be getting this trophy. Mr. Palmer's reputation is now publicly in the tank regardless of his guilt or innocence (I won't go there).

I think it is the opposite, after dozens of trophy harvests he was well educated and knew exactly what he wants to buy for his 50K. I think it was him who showed the guides the picture of the lion which he wanted to kill, and this might be the reason he chosen shady "outfitters", otherwise he would pay 25k to a reputable and responsible guides.

This thread is ridiculous...if you go to africa to hunt dangerous game you get a PH, professional hunter/guide/outfitter, that is licensed and leagal...that person is the responsible party in the case...no matter what the hunter does or says the PH is the responsible party...period...oh wait that is africa.
