I just completed a weekend hunt with Clayton and Ben from Bitterwater Outfitters and it was GREAT! Two very professional guides. They knew where the packs were feeding and the path they'd take to their daytime beds. Boy those Polaris Rangers could fly across the open fields. By 7:30AM I had already dropped a good size boar and sow. I highly recommend Bitterwater Outfitters for a wild pig hunt.

At least, did they give you some discount for posting this advertisement here?

First post on the forum...

Bud, Which part of this execution you call hunting?

Oh, you are right, i'm full of hate to such "hunters". and to people who came here only to advertise their business.
And if you are a hunter, look for hunting, not execution...
I know, there are also guys who are afraid to start talking to women, so, they go to brothels, which is ok, but you cannot call it "romance" or love.
Same here, you want to kill or you want to hunt. Harvesting an animal in my opinion is a reword and additional benefit of hunting

PS. I doubt you want to deal with such business who plays such tricks... Find someone really good if you want to kill something.
And you trust recommendation of someone who came here to advertise?

BTW, why do you think "They knew where the packs were feeding"? Because they feed them there, so the hunt takes half an hour max.
Is it what you are looking? go ahead and then post your pictures and brag about how good of a hunter you are...

Libby, R welcome to JHO, and congratulations on your harvest!

JustGuy, I get where your coming from, but everyone needs to start somewhere, and starting with public lands is a serious uphill battle unless your fortunate enough to pair with an experienced public land hunter. Many guys do guided hunts because they do want to harvest something, they have limited time to hunt, family/work obligations... The fact is that he utilized a legal operation. We all know that there is much more to hunting than the harvest, but going guided for many helps build up that knowledge base, and teaches them what to do after they pull the trigger. Of course some will continue with guided and simi guided hunts, others will grow and venture on their own, pair up with others to venture on their own... But it's all still hunting, obviously with some huge differences if one compares public land hunting to fully guided, but we have the choice of going at it the way we want.

Bitterwater Outfitters is well known on this board, I doubt the OP mentioning this service will make any difference, but it would be nice if they were a sponsor.

Don't you see that this guy just came to advertise here? You will never her from him anymore. I doubt if himself wrote this advertisement and not the outfitter used one of his client's pictures.
If it was a first time hunter dont you think he would write on and on describing every second of its "hunt".

Please, do not call it a "hunt". You are the guy who spent hours and hours on your hunting to get your harvest cannot seriously consider it as hunting, It is called execution..

And again, I have nothing against it, everyone with his choices, but please, do not misrepresent, do not call it hunting and do not call this advertisement as a "hunting report".

PS, i have more respect for poacher(which i do not have at all) than for this kind of "hunters" but it is me.

And what they do after they pull the trigger? shell the tip and watch the guide clean the animal for them, and than brag about them being hunters? Seen 1000th of themes.

Whoa JustGuy....I was just curious as to why all the negative comments...thats it bud. Im a new hunter and was actually looking to do a guided hunt. Is it wrong that I would rather pay for an Outfitter my first time so I can learn how to properly gut my pig without destroying my meat? Look I get it, some of these places your basically shooting corralled farm animals, but we all have to start somewhere. Especially those of us who live in Southern Ca with very limited accessible public land. Some hunters can argue that those who sit in a tree stand aren't "Hunting" either, or the same of those who bait, or hunt food plots. The point is there any many hunters who have their own definition of hunting, and Im sure this person is the first one to use this public forum to advertise his or her business, Im sure theres some people on here who use it as their own eBay even.
Stay Safe,
Mike

Hey guys I have to thread jack, please bare with me. First off I don't have a dog in this fight, just want to get that out of the way. But I do have a comment on threads that go the way this one seems to be going. I am a new hunter. I took up hunting as a way to spend time with my son as an alternative to his video game ruled lifestyle. I joined Jesses after seeking info at last years ISE in Sacramento. I lurked around for some time before I officially joined. I put in hours and hours just reading threads from the archive just to gain knowledge, as I had no one in my life to share the joy of hunting with me. I have been exposed to many new things, and am finding myself transforming into a passionate hunter. I am no stranger to the outdoors, as I have been a fisherman since knee high.....but I digress. The reason I decided to post here is because, for me, it is threads that go this way that deter me from becoming more active on this site. I understand Justguys point of view. A while ago there was a thread started by a veteran (TRA) here that addressed new members and their intents. I spoke up for myself as a newbie on that thread and tried to maybe dissuade him about the member he was speaking of. Turns out he was spot on. Also turns out that I met some guys on this site and went on a semi-guided hunt with them. When I posted the results of our hunt TRA stepped up and gave me an atta boy, as he had hunted the same grounds and knew the challenges. The point I guess I am trying to make is this.....while the original post is suspect, and Justguy maybe be spot on, we never really know ones intent until we give them a chance? I have read many of Justguys comments and realize he is very opinionated, I respect that. I have also read a great many of Bubblehides posts and replies, and have learned many great things. Thank you both for your contributions. From a newish guy it sucks to see threads go this way no matter the outcome. It is almost intimidating, even to a person such as myself, who good bad or ugly is never quick to bow down. I could have easily left the site after the TRA thread, but I hung tough, and am glad I did. I am grateful to those who have been helpful and influential, even those who didn't realize it. Sorry if I went to far off topic or rambled on, just wanted to share with you guys how I see it.

There were NO negative comments, and there is not a fight, there were only my opinion on 2 things came from my observations. You take it as negative, but every one chooses his way. and some one who sitting all day long on a tree stand is a real hunter, he first scouted area, found the animal traffic, than brought his tree stand, then were sitting there for god knows how long, than he had to drag the animal, gut it, pack it etc. It is called hunting. The one who baited is also done something, but the one who hired outfitter, what did he do? the most difficult part is to wake up on time. Look at his cloths, does it look like the guy was hunting?

And please, do not BS yourself, you will learn NOTHING with those guys. They will bring you on an ATV to a baited area, you will pull the trigger, they will skin and gut it for you and maybe quarter. Where is your part? Thy might be hunting, not you.

If you want to increase your chances and make it easier, pay trespassing fee. than you can learn something.

You know, it may not be "hunting", but what's wrong with it if you can afford it and want to do it?

Every now and then I get an urge to eat fried rabbit or bar-b-que a quail on the grill, so I open the back door and shoot a critter eating in my yard. It ain't "hunting" but what is wrong with it? Usually if I want to eat meat I go to the grocery store or a restaurant, which is probably more "wrong" than killing an animal myself.

Have i ever say "it is wrong"???? Never!!!! I just say, "it is not hunting", and believe me, i can afford "expensive " $500 guided "hunt" instead of being cheap and spending $1,000s on public land or paying trespassing fee where i hunt myself.

Yes i'm, when you go to a semy guded tour, you at leasd do some effort, when you are already on forum and share your success, it is calling "Sharing the hunting stories", but when your very first post looks like and advertisement, and you are on the picture in very clean cloths and boots, besides you 2 dirty pigs, it is fishier than a mackerel stew, don't you think?
His boots did not touch the ground, he never touched those pigs even to lift them to the ATV.
We are grown up men, i was hunting ones or twice in my life and i know what it takes to kill 2 pigs and how one usually looks after this.

One more point, no introduction, no story, nothing. Don't be a baby, you should be able to call a bluff when you see one

I say what i mean and i mean what i say, it is my live tragedy LOL.

Norman Hi, I,ve hunted In Shandon CA many times unguided, Near El Pozo and La Panza Ranch, unfortunately out of several trips i was only able to harvest 2 good size pigs but I don't know if you got your on Public or Private properties, anyway they look great and seems like am gonna contact the boys at Bitterwater Outfitters for their advise so I don't keep on wasting time and money on unsuccessful trips. thanks for sharing this pic!!!!

Here is one more, don't you thing it is Bitterwater Outfitters do it themselves? Most interesting they consider us as idiots who cannot understand their tricks.
Even if i was about to order their services, i'd reconsider after this prank.

Any more comments about them? who is still having any doubts?
