I'm thinking of putting in for the left over tag draw, how much public land is there in this area? I have BLM maps on the way, but they will not arrive before the application deadline. Any help would be appreciated.
You will find that leftover tags of any kind will be due to the lack of access.
More private ground than public.
If you purchase that tag you may have to drive around to different ranches and do some door banging and asking if they even allow hunting and what the trespass fee is.
I found a good ranch years ago just by doing that.
