I know I'm going to get a couple of members that dont think I should be asking "Do your HOMEWORK" they'll say. Just looking for areas not your sweet spot!!

In '08 I'm looking to take my dad to Wyoming for a goat hunt. He's getting older and has been taking me hunting since I could walk! So I want to repay him now I feel it's my time to treat. Kinda like payback for all the good he's done for me. I'm going to buy his point this year so we have a better chance next year and then give him an all expence paid trip next year.

So I guess what I'm looking for is some areas I can go on a point and try to get him a shot. Buck or doe I dont care, Just looking for some areas to start researching (Homework).

Thanks in advance!!

If you are looking for a doe tag, area 53 is a great place.....tags were 100% for first go round with leftover tags so no need for points. Plus you can apply and receive up to two tags per person on the first draw and they are only $41 each.

Buck tags for that area are tough to come by, not sure how many points you need.

Drop me a line and I'll be happy to point out some areas to look at next year.

My email is jesse@bandbwinemerchants.com

I have tried to get into duck hunting for the last couple years but have yet to make a serious effort. I would love to figure out the Sac Valley refuge system...hopefully this year will be different.

Look at the north eastern part of the state, there are always left over buck tags. If you start looking into it now you can easily set up something for next year. Contact the chamber of commerce in a couple of citys, many times they have a landowner list of ranchers that allow hunting. If you are interested I might have an old list laying around.
