Having trouble reading I see. Maybe a pair of new glasses will be under your tree.
QuackAssassin, sweeeeeeet!
This post shows your pure ignorance of the .308 round and probably hunting in general.
Wrong again my friend, new filler between his ears in order, glasses no help
You are being really nice to him. He shows complete ignorance in all topics all over this forum, the only thing he is not ignorant is his ignorance. In this aspect he is very consistent and efficient.
Looks very cool, though not my cup of tea. 308 is a great & very versitile round which I often wish I had instead of a 30-06.
Noticed the huge muzzle break; what make & model? (thinking about one for my Weathery Vanguard).
In my limited shooting experience the bipod on the barrel isn't the best way. Noticed it myself that when I kept the barrel free I had better consistancy in my groups (4 to 5 inches verses 2 to 3 at 200 yards).
he's just probably one of those anti "assault rifle" folks that make hunting even more difficult here in CA
You are infinitely better off with a 30-06 than a .308 and so would QuackA be as well, if he wants to hunt big game.

Hk, do you even think about what you opine before you put it out for everyone to consume? Do me a favor, go and check the ballistics of both, with the same bullet and let me know what your critical thinking skills tell you about both rounds. Nah, that won't happen as that involves researching and forming a conclusion based on real information and not just blurting.

Getting a second shot off quickly using the AR platform and minimizing the felt recoil makes the AR10 a fine shoice for hunting but not for carrying. <g>
And JB229 if your 10/22 can hit steal out to 1000 yards then god bless ya man
