The location is just west of Healdsburg surounding Lake Sonoma. It's off of hwy 101 about 45 minutes north of Santa Rosa.

Alright Im in! I plan on buying a new rifle with in the next week. Now just to decide what to get Hmmmmm, 30-06 0r 300 winmag, probably an '06. Im not new to hunting/outdoors mainly bird hunting, but this is my first "big" game hunt so ill have all kinds of ?'s but i learn fast so i only ask once. Lokk forward to meeting everyone soon, till then.

mel, i have been following this thread simply because i attended last year and had a great time.

i dont understand. if you cannot find a minimum of hunters, george has another 10 guys standing in line waiting for the same weekend? or george will just not have ANY hunters that weekend? (or maybe) he has a less hunters waiting, and willing to pay a bigger price tag for exclusivity?

George hasn't said he wont do the hunt with less then 10 people. As of right now he doesn't have anyone hunting that weekend. I'm waiting to see how many we will have about 2 weeks before the hunt then I'll call him to let him know. I'm still waiting on Elkguys to respond to some emails to see if he's still in.

Personally, I think 7 guys at $400 ea. is pretty good, but he normally charges either $500 or $600 for the hunt. So I think if he has no one else wanting that weekend, he will still let us hunt, but it's his deal so I don't really know. Seems like it would be kind of stupid to turn down a $2,800 sure thing, but again, I don't know.

The other thing is if we don't get the 10 people, he may say if we want to hunt we have to pay full price.

I'll find out in a couple of weeks.

It's a good place gents. I've gotten two pigs on that ranch and both times saw 30+ specimen. Some of that terrain is pretty rough, all rolling hills, but so much fun. George is top notch and a straight shooter.
