Great hunt Nate!
That's a very special hunt you shared with your Dad. I cherish every hunt with my Dad especially these days as he gets older.
Congrats to you both!

I'll definitely go back, but I'd go the first season which will probably take a couple points so it will be a little while before getting back there.

Very cool! Great story and pics, man. The photos almost always turn out better the closer you get to the ground - proof by your first 3.

You guys even got a little sunshine!

Yeah, in that flat country it's hard to get the animal up higher to get a good picture. You have to get down low with the cactus. It's also tough when you have an impatient hunter you are trying to capture good images of. I also need to find someone to photoshop out the blood spot. That is the exit wound. Unfortunately he fell down into a pool of blood so the other side was even worse.

Good story Nate and congrats to your Dad
<

You should have taken me up on my offer, you could have walked right up to them goats in the open.
My son and I got to within 150 yds and they never even gave us a 2nd look. We would have moved in even closer but they got spooky when they saw some other hunters a long way off. MMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I should have Breck, that probably would have helped. I tried to get you a couple capes but no dice. Dads had a big bare spot on it's neck from an old wound and was probably unusable.

Hey Brah:

Well done. There's a lot more to going hunting with your pops than just hunting. Looks like you both had an awesome family hunt. Congrats! Nice goat. Way to get it done, like you always do.

Very Nice Nate. Sounds like a fantastic trip with dad. Your dad looks happy. That is well worth the trip itself.

Great Photos and a good story...thanks for that! Hunting with your Dad is a special thing! He is fortunate to have a son such as you!

P.S. I am getting too old to pack out these days so it is a game cart for me.

Way to go on your hunt. Nice writeup. It took me so long to read it I felt like I went with you. Hunting with your Dad can be fun for sure. I cherish those hunts with mine.
